About the Residence Halls

More than just a dorm, YC provides holistic on-campus support and community to full-time degree and certificate seeking students.

Vision

  • The Office of Residence Life aims to create a premier living environment that directly connects Yavapai College students to academic resources, a sense of community, and diverse programming necessary for student success.

Both Kachina and Marapai Hall provide double occupancy accommodations and the following amenities:

  • Free laundry facilities. Each hall has a laundry room, and residents must supply their own HE (High Efficiency) detergent, fabric softener, etc.
  • 24-hour study lounges
  • Pool tables, board games, volleyball court, basketball court, and open lawn area
  • Vending and ice machines
  • Vacuums available for check-out
  • Outdoor bicycle storage
  • On-campus Mail Center 
  • On-call RA's and professional staff

All rooms include:

  • An extra long twin bed, desk, and wardrobe for each resident. Beds are bunked.
  • The wardrobes are 86"L x 46"W, with a 32" hanging length on the top rack and a 40" length on the bottom rack.
