General Disclosures
General Disclosure Statement (34 CFR 668.43)
A general disclosure statement for state authorization informs prospective and enrolled students whether an academic program meets educational requirements for professional licensure or certification required for employment or advertised as meeting these requirements.
Yavapai College (YC) offers several programs aimed at leading to professional licensure or certification in Arizona. YC provides disclosures through a good faith effort whether a degree or certificate program meets academic requirements for professional licensure or certification outside of Arizona. The Professional Licensure by State table identifies whether professional licensure:
- Meets applicable professional licensure requirements. Student attestation is not required.
- Does not meet applicable professional licensure requirements. Student attestation is required.
To enroll in a program with the status of “Does not meet” requirements for a specific state or territory, students must complete an attestation at the time of initial enrollment at YC according to federal regulation, § 668.14(b)(32)(i) and (ii). This means the student intends to seek employment in a state that meets the educational requirements.
Notice to Students Regarding Professional Licensure and Certification
Yavapai College degree and certificate programs for professions that require licensure or certification are intended to prepare the student for Arizona licensure and certification requirements. Admission into programs for professions that require licensure and certification does not guarantee that students will obtain a license or certificate. Licensure and certification requirements are set by agencies that are not controlled by or affiliated with Yavapai College.
Students can view the State Authorization website for more information.
