DUO Two-Factor Authentication for Students
Yavapai College uses DUO two-factor authentication, also called 2FA, to help protect student accounts, email, and online services.

Why DUO 2FA matters
If you are not already enrolled in DUO 2FA, take a few minutes to enroll. DUO adds a second verification step when accessing YC systems, which helps prevent unauthorized access if your password is stolen or compromised.

Steps for students to enroll
You will self-enroll your device information as part of the DUO 2FA enrollment process.
Before you begin
- Use a computer or tablet during the one-time activation process so you can access the QR code.
- Scan the QR code with your phone during setup.
- Use your smartphone as your primary device where possible.
- Add a second device, such as another mobile device or landline, as a backup option.
