Student Health & Wellness

These are the offerings for students regarding mental, physical, and emotional health resources and services.

  • Coaching Support Services - receive additional support from Yavapai College partner InsideTrack for areas such as food insecurity, shelter or housing, finances, stress and health, childcare/caregiving, and transition to online learning.
  • Care @YC - if you are concerned about the welfare of another student
  • Medical services - if you need medical attention, the following county-wide facilities are available
  • Mental health and counseling - if you need to access confidential and free mental health counseling through YC's Student Assistance Program
  • COVID-19 - if you need help determining what to do if you have tested positive or have symptoms of COVID 19? Please email us and we will respond within 24 hours during normal business hours
  • Eight Dimensions of Wellness - a guide to the eight aspects of well being along with college, local and online support resources.

Prevention and Recovery Resources

A private phone call in a cafeIf you are in need of support, feeling overwhelmed, or just want to talk, these Warm Lines are available to provide non-judgmental and confidential telephone services.

Warm Line staff are certified in Peer Support Training, and experienced in discussion and support related to a broad range of issues surrounding wellness and recovery.

NAZCARE (1-888-404-5530) sponsors a statewide Warm Line that callers can utilize from the hours of 11:00am − 10:30pm seven days a week. Trained Warm Line Mentor staff offer callers active listening skills, coping skills when requested, and make referrals to resources and crisis services to cities and counties throughout Arizona.

TEEN LIFELINE (602-248-8336 or 800-248-8336) trained peer counselors are available from Noon-9pm. Peer Counselors provide a connection of hope for teens in crisis. https://teenlifeline.org
