PRESCOTT, Ariz. (February 9, 2026)
Love is in the air this week...for Yavapai Athletics! Four of the seven sports will play 8 more regular-season games this week!
Softball
Last week, Yavapai Softball split their 2 games against Chandler-Gilbert, including a 14-8 romp over the Coyotes.
This week, Yavapai will head down to South Mountain CC in Phoenix to play two more games! On Tuesday, February 10th, the Riders will begin their games at 12 & 2 PM.
Baseball
Yavapai Baseball began their season a couple of weeks ago and are currently 2-2, with one of those wins being a 19-1 near-shutout over Scottsdale Post Grad.
This Saturday, February 14th, Yavapai will face off at home against Ottawa University of Arizona in a 2-game series. Game 1 will begin at Noon, with Game 2 beginning shortly after the ending of the first game, most likely around 2 PM.
Women's Basketball
The Yavapai Women's Basketball team will participate in two more ACCAC conference match-ups this week.
On Wednesday, February 11th, YC will host a home game against Cochise College. Game time is at 5:30 PM.
Then, Yavapai will be on the road this weekend for their toughest test yet: a road game at #1 Eastern Arizona. That game will be on Saturday, February 14th, and will tip-off at 2 PM.
Men's Basketball
The Yavapai Men's Basketball team went 1-1 last week in their ACCAC conference games, including a big home win against Central Arizona, pushing their hopes of entering the postseason closer to a reality!
This week, Roughrider fans can look forward to two more ACCAC match-ups.
The first game of the week is a home game on Wednesday, February 11th against Cochise College. This game will be sponsored by Findlay Hyundai Prescott, who is hosting a very special promotion for this game: every customer who goes into Findlay Hyundai Prescott this week will get a FREE TICKET for this game! The printed out ticket MUST be presented at the game's admission table in order for free entry.
Game tip-off is at 7:30 PM.
Then, the Roughriders will head down to Thatcher for a game against Eastern Arizona on Saturday, February 14th. Tip-off is at 4 PM.
