Residence Life student staff members are the student leaders in the residence halls, and they take personal ownership of the safety, wellness, and success of the entire residential community.

Student Staff Opportunities and Positions

Resident Assistant (RA)Resident Assistants (RAs) are student leaders both in the Residence Halls and across campus. The Resident Assistant position is a primary contact for students in the residence halls and is responsible for the social, academic, personal and cultural development of the residence hall community. RAs are responsible for articulating and supporting the philosophy and policies of Residence Life to the students in the residence halls. 

  • RA Compensation:
    The RA position receives a stipend that covers the cost of a private room and meal plan for the academic year. There is NO hourly pay for the RA position. 

Program Assistant (PA) – Program Assistants (PAs) play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the residence halls. PAs help plan and run events, report and track repair requests, design and maintain bulletin boards and assist with a range of special projects.  

  • PA Compensation:
    The PA position receives a stipend of $5,455 for the academic year, which covers the cost of a standard shared room. PAs are responsible for any other costs associated with living in the residence halls, including the required meal plan. There is NO hourly pay for the PA position. 

Conference Assistant (CA) – This is a summer job that is contingent upon conference groups staying in the halls during the summer. Responsibilities include customer service, room setups, paperwork, cleaning, folding linens, and providing activities for our guests.
